Yarn: fingering weight yarn, size 1; 1040 yds / 950 m. 2 100 g skeins of Cattail Silk (100% silk) by Purl Soho in Blue Bamboo color were used for the sample (tag info 618yds / 100 g).
Needle: US 5 (3.75 mm) or size to obtain gauge.
Other materials: tapestry needle.
Gauge: 20 sts and 24 rows = 4 in /10 cm in stockinette after blocking. Gauge difference is not crucial in this shawl but may affect your finished size and yarn quantity.
