Midsummer Night Doily

I used Knit Picks Curio thread, but you may use any 4 colors of size 10 thread you wish. It takes about 175 yards of the main color and 10-20 yards of each of the contrasting colors

This design has a small amount of back post double crochet, many popcorn stitches, double crochet clusters, and picots to give it a rich texture. It was designed using 4 colors, but also looks good in a single color, especially white or natural, also self-striping thread, such as Alize Miss Batik. The pattern has several visual guides to supplement the written instructions. The skill level is Intermediate.

I consider this design to be my “Magnum Opus.” It won first prize at my county fair!
