Knitting with gradient yarns should be an exercise in fun! Play to your heart's content with color combinations, using a darker base color to unify the look.
The vest is worked in one piece from the bottom up, beginning with a Moss stitch bottom border. Colors are changed every 24 rows and divided by 6-row peerie patterns. A 3-row slip stitch pattern is inserted in the middle of each band of color. The base color is also used for the narrow bands of garter worked at the armhole and front/neck edges.
