This simply stripy scarf is made with 4ply/fingering yarn, either two different sorts of yarn, or two different coloured yarns, or any sort of combination you like.
I usually prefer scarves that look the same on both sides, so I was very surprised at how pretty the "wrong" side looks when alternating a mohair blend yarn with a normal sort of yarn.
Like all minimal knits | DESIGNED scarves MK#15 drapes beautifully and is quick to knit because it uses needles larger than is usual for the yarn. A boomerang shape with eyelet edges, it has the effect of being knitted on the bias.
The sample scarf measures 168 cm / 66¼ inches, by 142 cm / 56 inches, by 80 cm / 31½ inches without blocking and used about 210m of kidsilk and 210m of a plain 4ply/fingering yarn.
