An elongated boomerang shape with Quaker rib and scalloped edges, this scarf has the effect of being knitted on the bias and was inspired by a pack of 5 gradient colour 20g skeins which I knitted up from the lightest colour to the darkest. But then it occurred to me that because it wasn’t a single ball of gradient yarn I could have played around with the colours. So the grey sample knit was made in a different (but still, nicely balanced) sequence. That said, I think this simple, but quite elegant design with a cute scalloped edge would look beautiful made in a single silky colour.
The grey scarf, made with 400m, measures 53 cm / 21 inches, by 138 cm / 54½ inches, by 168 cm / 66¼ inches (not including the tassels), and the aqua-teal scarf , made with 427m, measures 54 cm / 21¼ inches, by 144 cm / 56¾ inches, by 176 cm / 69½ inches without blocking.
