This long rectangular scarf is suitable for beginner knitters or as a quick project for more advanced knitters. It is knit from one short end to the other, and features a garter stitch and knit/purl textured stitch pattern at each end, with the plain knit/purl pattern at the center.
The inspiration for this design is the Montmartre neighborhood of Paris, known for its famous cobblestone streets. The simple knit/purl pattern featured in this design looks like small, uneven cobblestones.
The pattern is provided in both chart and written (line-by-line) format, so you can choose your preference. Yarn is easily substituted; choose any drapey sportweight or light DK weight yarn of your choice.
