Mount Maxwell Mittens

These sturdy men’s mittens are named for Mount Maxwell, a great eagle-watching spot on Salt Spring Island off the west coast of Canada. The design features corrugated rib cuffs, afterthought thumbs, and a stranded colourwork pattern that provides extra warmth and density.

Size Small shown in Sweet Paprika Staccato (100% merino wool; 100g/190yds), 1 skein each of Chestnut (MC), Sandy Beach (A) and Natural (B).

Needles:

Two size 6 (4mm) circular needles, 16" (40cm) long or longer

(the two needles do not need to be the same length)
