Then your lost up a mountain is good to know that there is a mountain rescue team to come and save you, and the Mountain Rescue tea cosy honours the great work that they do saveing thounsands of people every year.
The main part of the tea cosy is knitted in srat stitch, a textured stitch to give the impression of grass. It's always exciting to learn a new stitch. Then, above the treeline, the rocky part of the mountain starts.
On the front of the cosy I have knitted a rescue team member in his hard hat and red jacket and he is being lead by the mountain rescue dog, who has a high vis jacket on.
Perched on the mountaintop is the rescue chopper. The rotors of the helicopter are made with recycled plastic and give the impression that the rotors are actually turning.
