In a moment of weakness I said “sure, I’ll make mittens for the six bridesmaids” for DD’s winter wedding. Could I find what I wanted? Of course not!
I wanted a heart cable and bulky mittens - something to knit fairly quickly, be warm, and have a love theme.
These mittens have a 2x2 rib cuff, cable pattern on the top and plain stockinette on the palm with an afterthought thumb. The center cable on the right and left hand mittens are reversed, creating symmetry.
These mittens are quick, and they'll keep you and your love(r) warm!
Pattern is suitable for advanced beginners. Contains both written instructions as well as charts. There is also a photo tutorial showing how to do the afterthought thumb.
