Natale a Milano

Natale a Milano (Christmas in Milan) is a bottom-up crescent shawlette. An easy lace border (with optional beads) is worked immediately after casting on. Subsequently, the rest of the shawl is worked in stockinette stitch with short rows and garter stitch. While working the short rows, just turn the work once you reach the prescribed stitch. In the following row, work to 1 st before the gap created by turning the work and decrease by working together the two stitches on each side of the gap. This will both hide the holes and create the curved shape of this shawlette. Natale a Milano is knitted with a single skein of Sesia’s Dahù Fancy or Dahù, with the optional addition of 54 beads.
