The shawl is worked sideways, tier by tier, from the center spiral to the edges. The beauty of this construction is that the same amount of CC is used in all tiers; that allows you to perfectly match colors of selfstriping yarn, creating interesting “shadow” effect with it.
Techiques used: garter, picking-up stitches from the edge, and, mostly short rows.
