This is the perfect beginner-friendly pattern for a colorful and impressive potholder/trivet with T-shirt yarn.
The pattern is very easy and uses a simple variation of the single crochet.
I added a wooden ring so that the potholder can be hung on the wall of my kitchen. I used a wooden ring with a diameter of 5.5 cm (2.5“). However, you can also skip adding the wooden ring by creating a hanging loop with yarn.
