A forest of rugged trees and mountain trails ending on a sandy beach at the edge of the ocean.
The Neahkanie Mountain shawl uses simple garter-stitch mosaic to create lots of texture to depict the fir trees and hiking trails down the mountain onto the beach. Easy texture and lace stitches further represent the rugged terrain. Mosaic (slip-stitch) colorwork uses only one color per row, making it an easy colorwork technique. Have fun watching the texture emerge almost like magic as you work the color bands!
Neahkanie Mountain Shawl is a triangular shawl constructed top-down and seamless. The colorwork is slip-stitch, mosaic with garter stitch used for added texture. Instructions are both charted and written.
