This shawl is inspired by a photo of the 10th Doctor (my favorite) and his companion, Rose. I completely nerded out over the design of this shawl by working increases on rows that are multiples of 10 and stitch patterns that are worked over a multiple of 10 stitches. Mock cables represent the interconnectedness of The Doctor and Rose and the loopy bind off is a knitted display of the movement of the Tardis through time and space. I hope you have as much fun nerding out over this design as I did!
Yarn: Approx 500 yards of fingering weight yarn. Sample shown in Apple Tree Knits, Purl Jams Luxe, Colorway: Dr Who, 51% Mulberry Silk, 49% Merino.
Dimensions: (AFTER BLOCKING) 59 inch wingspan, 18 inch depth.
Needles: US size 5.
Notions: Tapestry needle.
Gauge: 36 stitches by 48 rows is 4 inches in garter on US size 5 needles. (Gauge is not important for this project).
