Oceania is a an advanced beginner lace shawl pattern. This shawl easily doubles as a blanket scarf. Enveloped in warmth, the gentle ebbs and flows of the ocean are re-created in the lace pattern repeats. Design Elements~ - generous width for coverage or use as a blanket scarf - variegated yarn is used to imitate the ocean color-ways - rectangular in shape - NO chart reading; all instructions are clearly written Skills Needed~ - cast on/off, knit, purl, yarn over increases, slip stitches, decreasing (k2tog) - tools required: needles, yarn, stitch markers, scissors, large-eye sewing needle to weave in ends, optional row counter Pattern Info~ - heavy worsted, aran weight yarn: approximately 640yds (585m) - needles: 5.5mm (US 9) - dimensions (blocked): 14”x 54” (approximately) - lace pattern is a 12 row repeat - all wrong side rows are the same repeat - as always, pattern support is available via email (included in pattern)
