We’re off to see the wizard! Inspired by my daughter’s favourite movie when she was a wee little thing, OZ Booties show off the vibrant green of the Emerald City and the yellow brick road taken by Dorothy and her friends to get there. These are easier than they look! They’re worked entirely in the round and the colourwork on the cuff is done with simple slipped stitches, so you’re only working with one colour at a time. They have an inside ribbed cuff that helps them stay on snugly. OZ Booties make perfect new baby, shower, birthday, or holiday gifts.
MATERIALS: Approx. 18-36g fingering weight yarn in green, gray, and golden yellow (or your choice of colours!)
GAUGE | TENSION: Gauge is not critical, but it will affect the finished size of the booties. You are aiming for a fairly dense, rather than a loose, knitted fabric. Approx. 32 sts = 4” | 10 cm in stockinette stitch.
