Pallene

Pallene is a loose drop shoulder sweater worked from the bottom up in an all over lace motif. With its basic construction, it's a fun layering piece for lace lovers. Small repeats and simple motifs keep the project engaging, while providing a neat and detailed look in a fine gauge.

Bottom up drop shoulder sweater

Body worked straight in the round to the armholes

Front and Back upper body worked flat separately

Wide scoop neckline

Shoulders shaped with German short rows

Sleeves picked up and worked straight in the round, slightly gathered before cuffs

Lace knitting following multiple Charts at the same time

Small motifs with eyelets, simple decreases and mock cables

Lace pattern partially created on the WS on the upper body

Maintaining motif in pattern while decreasing for the neckline

Twisted ribbing collar, hem and cuffs
