This hat is knit in 5 panels that are stitched together with the seam on the outside. It uses many colors and lengths of yarn and is great for all those bits and pieces left over from other projects. You will need approximately 175 yards. I recommend Worsted wt. yarns for the Adult and Sport wt. for the childs. You can even use different brands and fibers of yarns as long as the wt is similar. Even adding fuzzy or striped yarns is fun.
