Knit our Penguins Jacket suitable to fit a child from 2 to 11 years old.
The Jacket has penguin motifs to the front and back and instructions are given for the following sizes: 2-3, 4-5, 6-7, 8-9 and 10-11 years old. The Jacket is fastened at the Yoke by 3 buttons.
The back, left side, right side and sleeves are knitted separately up to yoke and then slipped onto same needle to complete the yoke which has an attractive cable design.
The pattern uses double knitting wool (alternative for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply) and sizes 3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles are required. You will also need a 4mm cable needle and 3 buttons.
The picture shows the Jacket size 10-11 years knitted using Stylecraft Special DK in shades Empire (1247), Lipstick (1246), White (1001), Green (1116), Yellow (1823) and Black (1002)
