Pill-Owl

This festive season, try your hand at this supersoft, cute and cosy owl pillow. It makes an awesome and adorable home-made holiday gift!

A group of owls is called a parliament and, as most owls are nocturnal, beware the hooting parliament of owls on this delightful decorative throw pillow won’t keep you up at night!

This model was knitted with approx. 7 balls of Drops Lima on 3 mm knitting needles and a 3 mm cable needle. The colours used were: 4 x dark ivy (9030), 1 x wheat (0206), 1 x beige (0619), 0.2 x white (1101) and 0.1 x black (8903).

This pillow was done on thinner needles then indicated for this yarn and therefore, there were more stitches in a 10 by 10 cm swatch.

The piece is suitable for a 60 x 30 cm fill pillow.

The pillow is a medium knit. It asks for some intarsia colour work (bringing the yarn over to the back of the work, as the purl side (background) is the RIGHT SIDE) and cable knitting. The instructions have colour coding.
