Pocket Octo is an advanced beginner amigurumi pattern that works up really quickly; in about an hour or less.
This pattern has been a big hit at markets and makes for easy market prep since it works up so quickly.
You can use a variety of yarn weights to achieve many sizes and looks with coordinating hook size.
I used a 2.5mm hook with #3 yarn, a 3.5mm hook with worsted weight #4 yarn and a 6mm hook for use with the Bernat blanket yarn.

Your Pocket Octo may be stuffed with cat nip for a fun kitty toy, or adorned with key chain accessories to make it into a cute backpack charm or zipper pull and the larger ones made with Bernat blanket yarn can be stuffed with a rattle for a fun baby toy.
