Pokey Little Puppy

Quirky, adorable and so easy to make! What more can I say about this trio of Pokey Puppies? I was asked to create a quick and easy puppy pattern that is washable and suitable for the wee ones this holiday season. I decided to create one pattern and to then add changes to show that it can be worked in any type of yarn. Pokey #1 is worked in Patons Grace Cotton Yarn (3) and is shown in the blue and red patches with the white head and black/red ears. Pokey #2 is done in Carons Simply Soft Worsted Yarn (4) and is sporting a bit of colourwork on his midriff and arms. Poky #3 is knit in Loops and Threads Woolike Yarn (1) and is a more delicate knit, although the stitch counts are the same as the other two versions. He incorporates both the colour patches and the intarsia of the other two. Each contains a Jingle Bell in his tummy to add pizzazz!
