Quick Work in Thick Wool is a delightful, easy-to-knit and easy-to-wear sweater which is knitted using a simple twisted rib pattern combined with a stylish yoke. The sweater is designed to be worn with negative ease. If you prefer the sweater to have a slightly more relaxed fit as shown in the photographs, choose a size which has approximately 2.5-5cm (1-2in) negative ease.
The sample is knitted in Susan Crawford Vintage Bluem Worsted, a worsted or aran weight yarn. The worsted weight yarn enables this pattern knits up extremely quickly and requires only basic knitting skills. Instructions are provided for both working the sweater in one piece in the round on circular needles, or knitted flat as four separate pieces and then sewn together as shown in the original vintage version.
The sample shown is the third size worn with 2.5cm (1in) of negative ease.
