I designed and made this blanket for a local charity - wheelchairs for kids. They give every child that receives a chair a 90cm x 90cm blanket plus a stuffed toy. They also give the family of the child a larger sized blanket. I created this to enable me to use up the cheaper acrylic that I had in my stash at home. The stripes in the original blanket are of the cheap acrylic and in the main colour I used a good quality acrylic.
I used Patons Big Baby from Australia for the white (4 x 100g balls) and used up some of 1 ball each for the stripes and border in a cheap acrylic in my stash.
This blanket is easy to mix and match colours to make it your own! the possibilities are endless.
