Rainbow Ragdoll

Rainbow Ragdoll was created as a result of my childhood memories of my own cherished rag doll that was virtually glued to me when I was a child. There is nothing quite so cherished as a child's dolly and it is with this in mind that I have designed this set of two... Rainbow and Rainey. Rainbow is knit in one piece beginning at the sneakers, then the multi-colored and multo-patterned leggings, then the striped pullover, add the hands and arms to the raglan arm shaping, then the neck and head. Minimal sewing pieces together! The long hair done in pig tails with highlights in the hair is done in DK yarn and the pdf explains the method used. The flared skirt is done in short rows and is added last. It can be sewn into place or added with a piece of elastic so it is removeable. I used the wide variety of the beautiful Schachenmayr Baby Smiles yarn.. such a lovely lot of colors to use!.. but it can be done in any Baby yarn available in a lot of colors for the same effect.
