This unique semicircle shawl is begun with a provisional cast on and worked from neck to hem in a series of motifs progressing from solid to patterned to lacy. Slip stitch combinations provide visual texture and complexity here to mix separate colors in a coordinating set, but the piece may be worked in a dyed gradient or solid yarn.

Yarn requirements: 100 yards each of Colors A (Blue), B (Dark Purple), C (Magenta), and D (Coral)
Gauge: 24 stiches and 36 rows=4 inches in stockinette on smaller needles
