I designed this pattern for my beginners+ students as it's easy to knit but it also looks nice and it can be worn with anything. I have a hat myself and I can guarantee that it's totally waterproof, it will get wet on the outside, but your head will keep dry and warm. It's knitted in 2x2 Rib and the decrease is done in a way that keeps the ribbing all the way up to the top. As it's about 9" long, you decide if you want to wear it as a slouchy hat or fold the bottom to make a brim as it looks in the main photo. Be aware that this hat is made with 100% wool and it's hand washable only.
