Rolling Rock

Rolling Rock is a light Henley-style pullover, seamlessly knit from the top down, using the contiguous shaping method at the shoulders. This shaping method provides the look of shoulder seams and sleeve caps, without the actual seaming. I wanted to play with the idea of the lace sweater in a way that hadn't been done before, so the panel on the back has an interesting shape that keeps it separate from any shaping elements, as always, making it easy for you to modify this for your body. The bottle motif is simple, geometric and textured. Plus, it's called bottle lace, so it was the perfect match. The collar is a variation on a Henley, shaped to begin lower on the body and to remain open in a V above the buttons. A classic shape, a flattering neckline, and some eye catching detail on the back make for a versatile knit that’s fun to work up. Rolling Rock is pictured in The Plucky Knitter’s Traveler sport, which is a gorgeous silk and wool mix. Alternative yarns are suggested.
