This is my own pattern for the bonnet baby Prince Louis wore home from hospital. With its simple garter and cable design, it's perfect for any baby boy or girl. I like to knit it in cotton for summer babies, soft wool for cooler weather, or pure cashmere for a family heirloom piece.
My patterns are written in American terms with metric conversions. I've included photos to help guide you. I believe this pattern is appropriate for an advanced beginner. There are two sizes; newborn 13-14 inch head circumference, and 0-3 months 14-15 inch head circumference.
