Sammich Amigurumi Sandwich Toy

Sammich likes riding in the lunchbox, but isn't so fond of what happens next.

Sammich is an extremely friendly stash buster, requiring just scraps of this and that. The example was made with various wool worsted-weight (8 or 10 ply) yarns & US size 3/3.25mm needles, but almost any yarn could be used with the corresponding needle size. Sammich measures approximately 5 inches across the crust. But of course size will change depending on choice of yarn & needle.

The ham, cheese, and bread slices are knit flat, with some creative joining techniques for the crust. The eyeballs are knit in the round, and the whole thing is put together with just a few sewn stitches. Photos, stitch descriptions, and helpful links are included.
