Even the warmest summer days can bring a chill across your shoulders in the cooler walks of the evening strolling along the water’s edge at the beach or maybe even at the cottage. ( I always envy those that are lucky enough to have a cottage).

Regardless of which season you wear this shawl in, you will find it a relaxing and simple project to knit.

For maximum drape and an open and airy feel, this shawl was knit on a larger needle size than the yarn requires. The bottom border edge is knit with a size smaller needle but you can easily knit the entire shawl with one size. This will affect size and yardage slightly.

The shawl is knit beginning at the top neck edge.
