Knit up cuddly sausage dogs with our newest knitting pattern

Containing instructions to knit a cute dachshund either with or without a colourful jumper, he makes a lovely Christmas gift for dog lovers.

Knitted in chunky yarn on straight knitting needles, there is NO working in the round. Suitable for knitters with just a little experience, the pattern uses increasing and decreasing stitches to shape- the body/head is knitted in one piece with the tail, legs and ears knitted separately and sewn on afterwards.

We suggest using a ball of Stylecraft Special Chunky in Camel (1420) for this dog. For the (optional) jumper we used some Stylecraft Special Chunky in Matador Red (1010). You can of course use any colour chunky yarns you have in your stash if you prefer. You will also need a pair of straight 4.5mm knitting needle, toy stuffing, darning needle, and a length of black chunky yarn for the eyes.
