Sawston All Grown Up

A classic sweater to take you through the winter days. The twisted rib adds a touch of sophisticated elegance and the seed stitch works beautifully with hand dyed, variegated yarns. For a children’s version, see my Sawston sweater.

Materials:

Yarn: One Room Fibers Worsted

6 (6, 6, 6, 7, 7, 7, 10, 11) skeins; 218 yards per 100-gram skein.

Or 1097 (1134, 1213, 1272, 1330, 1388, 1447, 2055, 2229) yards of worsted weight wool.

Needles:

US Size 6 / 4 mm circular and optionally, straight and DPNs

US Size 8 / 5 mm straight or circular

Notions: Tapestry needle, place markers, cable needle.

Gauge:

1. sts x 24 rows = 4” / 10 cm measured over St st on larger needles.

19 sts x 32 rows = 4”/ 10 cm measured over seed st on larger needles.

11 sts = 1 ¾” / 4.4 cm wide measured over ribbed cable on larger needles.

Sizes:

Intended to be work with zero to slight positive ease. Choose the size closest to your bust measurement.
