Seclude

Even though the wind rushes through the pines and shows the undersides of the birch and poplar leaves, sound fades away. Clouds strengthen in darkness in the skies above, but the tall row of trees provides just enough shelter for a few chapters, at least. The waterline stretches out behind the trees, small ripples forming in response to the impending storm. In this moment, however, the story has become reality, and surroundings a comfort for a quick retreat.
