September Wings is the wing-shaped version of my very first design that I published on Ravelry, the triangular shawl September Morning. As the old shawl, the new version is worked from the centre out to the contrast coloured edging, using short rows to give it this most unique shape.
I wrote these directions after a friend asked if it was possible to turn the (September) morning(´s) sun into wings, following in the steps of Ikarus. And it worked. Greek myths make for great inspirations!
Enjoy your wings! Just beware of that sun, alright?
The sample was knit in Geilsk Bomuld og uld. A substitute yarn is shown below.
