Shy hedgehog

Almost but not quite rolled into a ball, these hedgies are a bit shy but also interested in making new friends. About 6" long, they fit nicely in a hand and since the eyelash yarn creates a soft fabric, they may be loosely stuffed to make them especially soft and squishy.

Working with eyelash yarn can be difficult, but I tried to make it as stress free as possible: after the first round, you won't need to count stitches while you work with the fuzzy yarn.

The pattern contains instructions for both European and African white-bellied (pygmy) hedgehogs. It is 7 pages long with many photographs illustrating the process, and it is written in English with US crochet terms. Because of the eyelash yarn, this is an intermediate-advanced level pattern.
