This rectangular variation on the traditional granny square pattern can easily be adjusted to your preferred size. A simple chain space border adds a finishing touch. Use a self-striping ombré yarn to create beautiful color changes without having to weave in ends.

Materials Red Heart Super Saver Ombré yarn (100% acrylic, 10 oz/283 g/482 yd/441 m) – 3 skeins in 3967 Sea Coral, or approximately 1,075 yd (983 m) in any medium weight yarn.
US Size I-9/5.5 mm crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge.
Yarn needle.
