Siren's Tail--A Mermaid Blanket

Siren's Tail is a knit mermaid blanket for adults. I found a shocking lack of knit patterns, so I took it upon myself to create one. This pattern has been tested and is sound.

Finished dimensions: (as written) 36.5 long x 35 wide across the top.  Length may be adjusted by repeating the 8 row stitch pattern more or fewer times.  Width may be adjusted by adding or subtracting multiples of 4. This will add or subtract 1.3 inches per 4 stitches. Please note that adjusting the width/length will increase the yardage needed.
