Soft Stars baby blanket

This pattern is for a baby blanket made using the tapestry crochet technique. It has a pretty design of soft coloured stars on a neutral background. The aran yarn produces a lovely snuggly and soft blanket and would make a beautiful gift for a new baby.

The pattern is for a blanket sized 70 x 70 cm but there are instructions included on how to adjust the size for a larger blanket.

The pattern is a good introduction to tapestry crochet and explains how to change colours. There are also handy hints and tips included to help a beginner in the technique.

Made with aran weight yarn and uses a 4mm hook. However, depending on how tightly / loosely you crochet, you may need to use a different size hook to achieve a good effect.

You will need 4 - 5 balls of the main colour and about half a ball each for the 5 contrast colours of the stars.
