This pattern is written in 2 sizes - Bulky Weight (Malabrigo Mecha) & Worsted Weight (Malabrigo Rios).
Bulky Weight needle sizes - 5mm (US 8) & 5.5mm (US 9); double pointed needle usage at decrease (cast on, knit, purl, K2tog, bind off).
Worsted Weight needle sizes - 4.5mm (US 7) & 5mm (US 8); double pointed needle usage at decrease (cast on, knit, purl, K2tog, bind off).
This is for an ADULT size beanie; however, there are instructions showing how to increase the size or decrease it for other options.
