Sort birk is the Danish words for Black Birch. Sort Birk is an oversize sweater knitted back and forth from the bottom edge and up with a lace pattern on the body and sleeves in stockinette stitch. The pattern is made for at yarn with a gauge of 19 stitches per 10 centimeters. (Lace pattern)
Pattern includes instructions for knitting a size 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14 years with chest width 88 (98, 104, 111, 120, 126) centimeters corresponding to approximately 30 centimeters of positive ease.
The pattern is written for a knitter with medium skills, a knitter who is able to work in the round as well as back and forth, follow written instructions and knows how to make increases, decreases and pick up stitches.
