The Spin Your Granny Square pattern has been created as a tutorial for those who want to learn how to make granny squares, half squares, quarter squares and how to Join as You go when your grannies are turned in a diamond shape. The instructions have been written up to recreate the first design pictured (pastel solid squares), yet instructions have been given to assist you to create your own custom size and colourway.

The pattern sizing is based on using DK yarn but some indicative sizes have also been provided for Aran yarn. And of course you can use whatever size yarn you like with a granny square.
This pattern is easy enough to be used by a beginner who knows their basic stitches, yet it is different enough from your standard granny to be enjoyed by an intermediate crocheter too.
