Drops of rain, smears of color; spring storms are a balm after the long winter. The blending of colors as the rain comes down the window inspired this shawl. Splash, is an acute triangle, featuring corrugated garter and ending with a 'splash' of color.
This shawl has simple shaping and a four row repeat for the body. Deceptively easy, this shawl is the perfect stepping stone to brioche knitting using the same two-color garter technique.
YARN 1000 yards (914 meters) of fingering weight yarn
NEEDLES US 4 (3.5mm) / 32” (80cm needle) or longer
NOTIONS Tapestry needle
GAUGE 24 stitches by 21 garter bumps = 4 inches (10 cm) in blocked garter
Adjust needle size to obtain correct gauge if necessary!
