Produktdetails
We all have them, those tiny bits of yarn too special to throw out. Instead of putting them in a bowl, why not make a bracelet – or a necklace? This is a recipe to make bracelets sized to fit your arm and desired length.
This is a fast project for last-minute gift knitting. The size is customizable to your recipient.
Skills Required:
* Russian Join (suggested) * Working icord * Grafting stitches
Gauge: 34 rows to 4 inches (10 cm) in i-cord, blocked
Note: When using these tiny amounts of yarn, it is often better to rely on weight measurements, rather than yardage. I use a jeweler’s scale to weight the bits and pieces of yarn to determine if I have enough.
Yarn: 8 to 14 yards/7 to 13 meters, (approximately 2 – 4 grams) of a fingering weight yarn that knits up to 7-7.5 sts/inch, depending on desired length.
**Sample yardage/weights:**3 wraps (orange-blue): 8 yds/7 m (2.2 grams) 4 wraps (multi-coloured): 11 yds/10 m (2.9 grams) 8 wraps (grey-brown): 14 yds/13 m (3.9 grams)
