Staghorn Cable Blanket

THIS IS A LOOP YARN FINGER-KNITTING PATTNER. Irish Aran knitting patterns have a long and rich history, originating in the Aran Islands, off the west coast of Ireland. Most commonly seen in sweaters, I have replicated those patterns here in blanket form. The staghorn cable is a common design in Aran sweaters, and is meant to denote strength. The Super Chunky Staghorn Cable Blanket is a repeating pattern of staghorn cable 'stripes' with a larger double-Staghorn centre motif.
