Stained Glass Mandala

This colourful mandala pattern is intermediate in level. It uses a variety of clusters, shells, and front post stitches to create a stained glass effect. The magic ring, back post stitches, standing starts and invisible joins are also used. Written instructions are included for all atypical stitches. You will need• 3mm crochet hook • 4ply/sport weight mercerised cotton yarn in 5 colours. I recommend Scheepjes Catona. You will need a dark colour for the “lead” of the glass, e.g. black. And 4 bright colours for the “glass”. Black: 15g Glass colour A: 2g Glass colour B: 5g Glass colour C: 7g Glass colour D: 7g • Yarn needle and scissors • 25 cm (10 inch) mandala hoop/craft ring/lampshade ring. A wooden ring spray painted black is a very effective mount.
