You need BOTH patterns; one is the tutorial for the little blocks and the other is the squaring off one.
Beautiful modification of Loretta Schepp's 'Starburst HotPad Pattern' modified to include borders so as to be suitable for a 12" afghan block. Directions also include where the tutorials are on joining the 4 blocks to make the center.
Feb 23/13: Since the original Schepp pattern is no longer available online, I've included the 'little blocks' instruction in the tutorial revision done today.
