Stash Busting Owl blanket

The inspiration for this blanket is my second Grandson Jamie. My daughter wanted something unique for the little one and as we both like animals, I surprised her with an owl-themed baby blanket. I am pleased to say that Jamie came out of the hospital with his little blanket keeping him warm! Babies like to explore by touch, this is why I added areas of moss stitch to the grid and used different textured yarn, the white owl's yarn is fluffier and softer. His big brother Theo took great pleasure in trying it out whilst waiting for Jamie’s arrival. He was of course making sure Jamie would enjoy it. The Blanket is 116 stitches wide and 185 Rows tall – For this blanket size does not matter as you are using whatever is in your stash.
