About the Pattern: I love the classic, heirloom look and elegance of this lattice cable texture. The sample afghan was made as a gift for a friend’s wedding. “Stitches of Silver” is a play on words of the quotable Bible verse: Proverbs 25:11 – “A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.”
Materials: You may use yarn and hook of choice with this pattern. Sample blanket used approx. 4,750 yards of a DK weight yarn and crochet hook size H (5.0 mm).
Finished Size: You may make this blanket to any dimensions. Sample blanket measured approx. 50” x 70”, including edging.
Skill Level: Intermediate Stitches used include ch, sl st, sc, dc, fpdc, hdsl (for edging)
