Notes:

There are no turning chains in this pattern. Instead, you may do a standing stitch or simply pull up on the loop a bit at the beginning of each row and make your stitch in the first stitch below. This leads to a nice, straight edge for your poncho. Stitch counts are marked with parentheses { } at the end of each row.
